At its second annual conference, the SCHULEWIRTSCHAFT Chemnitz working group presented the BO Prize for the first time in recognition of outstanding commitment to careers guidance. The prize went to the Terra Nova Campus e. V. support association, which impressed the judges with a practical project designed to prepare pupils for their transition into working life.

Over two project days, pupils in their final year put together their application documents, had professional application photos taken and practised job interviews. Five senior executives from the business world conducted realistic job interviews and provided feedback. This enabled the young people to gain practical experience and begin their job application process well prepared.

With this award, the SCHULEWIRTSCHAFT Chemnitz working group recognises outstanding commitment to career guidance and raises the profile of innovative projects, initiatives and special contributions for young people.

The competition is to be made a permanent fixture. This is intended to ensure the ongoing recognition of outstanding achievements in the field of career guidance and to increase their visibility and profile. At the same time, it aims to promote the exchange of best practice and further strengthen cooperation between schools, businesses and other stakeholders.
