On Thursday 5 November at 3 pm, anyone interested is invited to another ‘Da Capo – Music for Senior Citizens’ music café in the main hall of Kraftwerk e. V., Kaßbergstraße 36.
Admission costs 7 euros, including coffee and cake. No booking is required. Wheelchair access is available via the signposted side entrance.
For the November edition, the music café welcomes the singing duo Kerstin and Edward Randall, as well as pianist Emi Suzuki. Kerstin and Edward Randall have appeared in numerous opera and operetta roles on European stages. Most recently, they delighted Chemnitz audiences in the musical ‘All or Nothing’ at the Chemnitz Opera House. Kerstin Randall teaches classical singing at the Chemnitz Municipal Music School. Edward Randall was a professor of singing at the Carl Maria von Weber University of Music in Dresden.
The pianist Emi Suzuki is also already familiar to Chemnitz audiences. She has performed, amongst other things, in ‘Es ist Spielzeit’ at Kraftwerk e. V. and at events organised by the Saxon Mozart Society e. V., and teaches piano at the Chemnitz Municipal Music School.
In a conversation, Kerstin and Edward Randall talk about their lives as artists and share their experiences on the opera and musical theatre stage. The conversation is complemented by well-known melodies, accompanied on the piano by Emi Suzuki.
