‘One Love for Jamaica: Music workshop for school pupils’

Jamaica continues to face major challenges in the wake of Hurricane Melissa in October 2025. Many people have lost their homes, their livelihoods or access to basic services. Aid is still urgently needed.
Under the motto “One Love for Jamaica”, the aim is to shine a spotlight on Jamaica and its unique culture. Through a music workshop, Jamaican singer, entertainer and musician Steve Higgins invites participants to discover Jamaica’s musical diversity.
The programme includes Jamaican folk songs, reggae, rhythm and group singing.
At 5.00 pm, the pupils will present the results of the workshop to parents, families, friends and guests. Donations are very welcome.
Anyone wishing to experience even more Jamaican music can see Steve Higgins or Steve Higgins Productions on Sunday 4 October at a charity performance at the Opera House from 11.00 am to 12.30 pm.
