On Saturday 19 September, at 9.30 am and 11 am, children and adults are invited to a family concert featuring a beetle at the Chemnitz Municipal Music School, Gerichtsstraße 1. The two performances, entitled “Antonia in the Forest”, will take place in the concert hall.
Admission costs between 2.50 and 4 euros, depending on any concessions; tickets purchased in advance are 50 cents cheaper. Tickets can be purchased from the administration office of the Chemnitz Municipal Music School during opening hours or by appointment via email at musikschule(at)stadt-chemnitz.de.
The Municipal Music School welcomes autumn with the ‘Beetle Concert’. Colourful leaves dance through the air, transforming the forest into a spectacular display of nature’s colours. For Antonia the ladybird, a day full of exciting discoveries begins: What does the forest sound like? Which animals are about? And what lies hidden amongst the leaves, trees and moss?
Together with Antonia, performers, instrumentalists, the children’s choir and the ballet troupe from the Chemnitz Municipal Music School embark on a musical journey through the autumnal forest. Through music, song and movement, they tell Antonia’s story and bring to life a fascinating world full of sounds, rhythms and little wonders.
