On Friday 4 September at 3.00 pm, artistic gymnast Karina Schönmaier will sign the City of Chemnitz’s Golden Book of Sport in the presence of Lord Mayor Sven Schulze.
Media representatives are invited to attend. The ceremony will take place in the Green Salon at the Town Hall, Markt 1.
Karina Schönmaier won the silver medal at the 2026 European Artistic Gymnastics Championships in Zagreb (Croatia). In recognition of this sporting achievement, she is being honoured with an entry in the City of Chemnitz’s Golden Book of Sport.
Among those present will be representatives from the Olympic Training Centre and the Chemnitz City Sports Association.
