Pavement renovation on the south ring road
The surface course of the carriageway is being renewed on the Südring between Thalheimer Straße and Reichenhainer Straße. The work on behalf of the city's civil engineering department is scheduled to begin on Monday, 15 October and should be completed by 12 November (see construction site information from 10.10.2012). The company Strabag AG has been commissioned with the realisation. A total of 230,000 euros will be invested in the road surface renovation.
Note from the traffic authority: Road users please note that traffic will have to be diverted across the central reservation during the construction work and that the carriageway will then only be available with one lane in each direction during the construction period. The necessary central reservation crossings will be constructed in the week beginning Monday, 15 October.
Please also note that, depending on the progress of the work, access to and from the Südring on Thalheimer Straße and Reichenhainer Straße may not be possible. A diversion will of course be signposted.
